Braaaaaainnnnnnssss
So picture this: You're a zombie. Not the cool, philosophical kind from "The Walking Dead" who ponders the meaning of life while eating people. No, you're the classic, brain-dead (literally) zombie who just wants to EAT ALL THE BRAINS.
And that's exactly what Zombie Dice(From Steve Jackson Games) is about. It's a push-your-luck dice game where you roll dice to collect brains, avoid shotgun blasts, and try not to get your zombie butt handed to you by survivors.

How It Works (For the Brain-Eating Impaired)
-
Roll 3 dice (you start with 13 dice total)
-
Green dice = Easy prey (mostly brains, some footsteps).
-
Yellow dice = Medium difficulty (mix of brains, footsteps, and shotgun blasts)
-
Red dice = Hard mode (mostly shotgun blasts, some brains if you're lucky)
Your goal: Collect 13 brains before you get shot 3 times. Simple, right? WRONG. This game is like trying to eat a sandwich while someone's throwing tomatoes at your face. You'll be doing great, then suddenly BAM - three shotgun blasts and you're back to zero brains.
The Dice Have Personality Issues
-
Green dice are like that friend who's always like "Yeah, sure, whatever you want!"
-
Yellow dice are like "I mean... I guess... but I'm not happy about it"
-
Red dice are like "I WILL END YOU AND YOUR ENTIRE FAMILY"
The "Footsteps" Mechanic
When you roll footsteps, the victim escapes. But here's the funny part: You get to roll that die again! It's like the zombie equivalent of "Oh no, they got away! Let me chase them down the street while waving my arms!"
The Shotgun Blast Drama
Three shotgun blasts and you lose ALL your brains for that round. It's like being a zombie and getting hit by a truck - you just drop everything and start over. "Oh, I was carrying 8 brains? Not anymore, I'm dead again!"

So how do we win?
First player to collect 13 brains wins. But here's the thing: You can only collect brains when you stop rolling voluntarily. So you're constantly playing this mental game of "Do I have enough brains, or should I risk it for more?"It's like being at a buffet and asking yourself "Should I go back for seconds, or am I going to explode?" But instead of exploding, you get shot.
This game is perfect for parties because:
-
Everyone can play (ages 10+)
-
Games are quick (10-20 minutes)
-
It's easy to learn (roll dice, collect brains, don't get shot)
-
It's hilarious to watch people make terrible decisions
